Greta's 4 Month Check-up

Greta turned 4 months today and we celebrated by taking her to the doctor for her 4 month check-up - sorry Greta :) She's doing great, but she did get pretty worked up this time...It was even rough on Jack and Anna. They were both near tears during her shots, but luckily I was able to distract them and I don't think they saw too much.

Greta's Stats:
Weight: 13 pounds 4.5 ounces (50%)
Length: 25 inches (75%)
Head: 15.25 inches (10-25%)

Double Take

Can you tell who is who? Greta and Anna were baptized at almost exactly the same age, 3 months and 1 week. We did a major double take as we were taking some shots of Greta in her baptismal gown.

Serious pose...

Greta's Baptism

We were blessed and excited to celebrate Greta's Baptism with our family members this weekend. It was very special to have Greta's Great Grandfather (Mark's Grandfather) perform the baptism and to have so many of our family members in town from so far away.

The excitement of the family party, along with a major crash after a cake sugar-high, was just a little too much for big brother and sister...

Happy 4th!

It's been awhile...

It's been a lot harder than I expected to keep up with the blogging, I just don't seem to have the computer time, but Mark is out of town right now, so I thought I'd use this opportunity to get things caught up. The main thing I wanted to blog on was Jack's 4th birthday, and I must admit that I am guilty of pre-dating the blog entry date...now it looks like I was a super organized mom and uploaded everthing on his birthday :) You gotta love technology!

Jack had Vacation Bible School this week and he loved it! Unfortunatel my pictures from their Concert/Ice Cream Social didn't turn out. Jack has been talking a lot about God this week, and I don't think I'm going to be able to answer his questions very well...the funniest thing he said was this:
J: "What does God look like?"
M: "Nobody knows for sure."
J: "I know what he looks like. He has a grey boy dress and straight black hair."
M: "Really? Well, that sounds like what he must look like. How long is his hair?"
J: "It's medium length...But I don't know what his voice sounds like."
M: "Nobody does. Do you think it's loud or soft?"
J: "I think it's medium."
Maybe I won't have to answer many questions after all....

VBS gave us girls a little free time to hang out. Anna loves to do tummy time with Greta and as soon as she laid down with her, she said "You have to take a picture!" I guess I have taken a lot of shots of the two of them together on the floor. Here are a few from Monday.

Rockin' the Suburbs

Today we headed to Ravinia for a Justin Roberts concert. It was the perfect day for an outdoor concert! The kids rocked hard for the first three songs and then immediately crashed. Anna had to use the potty during the 2 biggest hits and Greta was out of sorts for most of the concert - looks like we're going to need to work on their concert stamina. Actually, we really had a great time - the weather couldn't have been better, and it was a great way to spend Father's Day weekend.

Notice the matching outfits...I just couldn't resist :)
